Tania Lara (Mexico / Canada)

Tania's project within the residence was a pictorial transcription investigation that studies the link between two forms of popular art; graffiti (street complaints) and textile art. 
From this, an attempt was made to open a reflection and a discussion on the relationship with the environment by exploring, manipulating and superimposing notions of public and private life, of tradition and modernity, of the political and the aesthetic.
