"My work at Estudio Abierto Oaxaca focuses on the dual history of a lost meteorite and a contemporary limestone quarry in Oaxaca. Both the meteor and the limestone blocks break apart in the course of their study and processing. Sculpture and the film works to freeze a moment for these mineral fragments to communicate with each other. Where have they all gone? Do they have a purpose? Could they ever fit back together? Through this conversation, the piece seeks to revive a faint aura in the most processed objects​​ and abstracts of our lives. "
